Quick Overview: Krillin is introduced in Dragonball as a monk from the Orin Temple who came to receive training from Master Roshi and seemingly to try and allow Roshi to let him train, Krillin bribes the old man with a pornography magazine. Within minutes, Roshi sends Goku and Krillin off to find him a "pofu pofu" girl or rather, a girl he can look at very sexually. Though, Krillin formed an odd relationship with Goku when they were first training and this is where we see Krillin using his mind rather than relying entirely on strength. Krillin only gets the better of Goku by tricking him and by the time of the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament, the two became best friends. Krillin helps Goku fight against some of the Red Ribbon Army and what many fans remember him fighting against was General Blue. Krillin in the Japanese version comments, "Oh, so I can easily beat you." Krillin's next big scene is at the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament, where he fights against Chaozu (where he shows to have learned Kamehameha technique) and Goku respectfully, though the fun is short lived when he is killed by Tambourine (King Piccolo/Piccolo Daimo's offspring). Krillin is later revived along with Chaozu and Muten Roshi by the Dragonballs and continues his training for the next five years, where Krillin is seen at the end of Dragonball at the age of 20 where he is matched up against Piccolo Jr and fights well though Piccolo easily over powers him and Krillin throws the match.

Krillin's role in Dragonball Z is extended, being one of the few characters from Dragonball (besides Bulma) to remain a main character and not to fade into the background. During the Saiyan Saga, he is introduced five years later at the end of the events inDragonball and he trains to help save Earth from the approaching Saiyans. Krillin easily manages to grow stronger and we are introduced to his signature technique, the Kienzan or Destructo Disk. He never actually manages to kill anyone with this attack, though he would have killed Nappa if Vegeta at the last second hadn't warned Nappa to dodge the technique. After the final battle with Vegeta on Earth, Krillin goes with Bulma and Gohan to Planet Namek to use their Dragonballs to revive Piccolo, Yamcha, and Tien (they didn't know if Chaozu could be revived again by the Namekian Dragonballs).

While there, Vegeta has healed and grown stronger since the battle on Earth and there soon unfolds to see a cat and mouse game going on with the hunt of the Dragonballs between Krillin and Gohan, Vegeta, and Frieza. Krillin gets his hidden powers (it is unknown if all of his powers were released) by Guru, the Namekian Elder. In the end, Vegeta teams up with Gohan and Krillin to fight against the Ginyu Force and later on Frieza, as Goku is badly injured from the fight against Captain Ginyu stealing Goku's body. Krillin is mortally wounded by Frieza and would have died if Dende didn't heal him and Krillin managed to cut off Frieza's tail with the Kienzan.

After Goku is healed and Vegeta is killed by Frieza, plus Piccolo now being revived thanks to the Namekian Dragonballs, they watch in awe at the fight between Goku and Frieza. Krillin is eventually killed by Frieza and this trigger's the famous Super Saiyan transformation by Goku, who thinks that Krillin cannot be revived. Luckily, Goku defeats (but does not kill) Frieza and Goku manages to escape off of Planet Namek before it explodes. Krillin is revived along with Yamcha, Tien, and Chaozu and they return to normal lives. In the anime filler Garlic Jr saga, Krillin fights with Gohan and Piccolo against Garlic Jr and they manage to seal him back in the Dead Zone (see the first DBZ movie).

One year after the events on Namek, Goku returns to Earth only for everyone to learn of Trunks and the Androids. Three years later, the Androids are awakened and a dangerous enemy wakes up, known as Cell. Cell eventually asborbs Android 17 and 18, such getting his "perfect form" and results in the Cell Games. Krillin falls in love with Android 18 during these events and he is shown to have more screen time than Goku, the main character during the Android/Cell sagas. After Gohan defeats Cell and Goku chooses not to be revived from the Otherworld, Krillin marries Android 18 and they have a daughter named Marron. Krillin's role fades during the Majin Buu saga, but he is shown to have grown his hair out and even risks his existance in the anime filler where he tries to fight against Kid Buu when Buu arrives on the Grand Kai's world looking for Vegeta and Goku. In Dragonball GT, Krillin is shown to be an old man (looking oddly older than Yamcha, Tien, Chaozu, or even Master Roshi) and is killed by Super 17 and is last seen having a friendly sparing match against Goku before he leaves on Shenron.
