Powers/Abilities

Quick Overview: Krillin has several powers and abilities that many of the enemies and other Z-Soldiers. While Krillin does not have a great amount of strength, he has shown the ability to control ki even better than Goku or enemies like Frieza. Several of the abilities and powers listed below mostly come from his ability to control his ki in different ways. He is able to sense hidden power levels and his strength and hearing are greater than that of a normal humans because of his training.

Bukujutsu/Flight/Hover Technique- Flight or called the Bukujutsu in Japanese, is a very common ability among the Z Soldiers and their enemies. Krillin first uses this at the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament when he is matched up against Piccolo. According to Gohan, he explains that flight is simply putting your energy (or ki) beneath you and using it to move around in the air. Just like using any ki to perform any attacks or to make an escape, a user can be sensed either by one of the Z-Soldiers or picked up by one of the scouters that the Saiyans or Frieza's followers use during the Vegeta and Namek sagas. Tien, Puar, and Chaozu are the first users to be seen flying in Dragonball.

Kamehameha- Invented by Master Roshi and used by Goku, Gohan, Krillin, Pan, Kid Trunks, Goten, Yamcha, Cell, Grandpa Gohan, and many more different users, this is one of the most famous attacks in all of Dragonball and the one most fans will think of. It consists of the user putting their hands together and gathering ki energy and releasing it towards an enemy. A very effective move that Roshi has made, there are different versions of the attack depending on the user, such as when Goku is Super Saiyan, more energy is placed into the attack, such improving it. The different versions of the Kamehameha such as a "Super Kamehameha" could be considered a different attack, however most of these different versions are modified versions that have more power behind them or if two users use the move at the same time, so they are most likely the same ability just modified or powered up.

Destructo Disk/Kienzan- Krillin's signature attack that he first tries to use against Nappa, this ability is powerful and very useful, if it hits the planned target. The Kienzan consists Krillin forming energy above his head and the energy spinning very rapidly where it forms into a ki disk that can cut through anything. However, once the attack is launched it cannot be controlled and in the anime, Krillin has been able to 'spilt' the attack into many small disks without much effort. In an anime filler scene, Krillin attemps to use the attack on Perfect Cell and it fails as it explodes upon impact. It should be noted that Frieza also has a "Disk" ability that he uses against Goku on Namek and which Cell also eventually tries to use against the Saiyan, Frieza's can be controlled.
