Behind This Website

Original question: Why did you make a Dragonball fansite and why Krillin?

To be honest, I never thought I would ever open up a Dragonball fansite. For the longest time, I've always wanted to open up a Sailor Moon fansite (hince Eien-Melody.net) since I was motivated by countless wonderful websites (many which are now gone since Geocities closed) that I found just for Sailor Moon. Of course, any other Sailor Moon fan can testify that trying to have a unique website for the show can be hard and not just another "knock off" of an older website. Secondly, I came to the conclusion that as much as I love Sailor Moon, why cannot I just point people in the direction of wonderful websites already belonging to Sailor Moon?

Anyways, I remember there being several Dragonball websites that seemed to just mainly be focused on the Saiyans or the entire show in general, that there was almost no way I could even think about starting up a "general" DBZ website. Plus, I wanted to have something that would be more personal to me and even though as much as I love Sailor Moon, Krillin was somehow making his way to the top of my favorite characters (from any media) and this got me thinking there needed to be a website for him. I also learned quickly from the DBZ online community that Krillin isn't a very well liked character of the show. Krillin is remarked as weak or just plain stupid among people, so I decided that was enough for me to start a fansite. A website born to my all time favorite character and one few people liked, it meant that I had once again used a trait of mine.

I've always developed a "bad" trait of liking some of the most disliked characters from anime or games (examples are Tails from Sonic or Timothy McGee from NCIS) by fans. I think that was the main reason behind me getting motivated to making this website. The name of the website is also related to Krillin, so how could I not name it after his signature attack move? Plus, Krillin has proved himself to me in ways that many other characters in Dragonball Z haven't done so:

-Though scared, he has at least attempted to fight against (or be near) enemies that are more powerful than him.
-In the Japanese version, he admits more openly that he knows when he cannot defeat an enemy.
-He uses his brain in battle more so than power, such trying to find a weakness in the enemy.

Of course, these are my own personal reasons...so maybe I could say I'm just a fan of DBZ to sum up the question in one sentence.
