Past Updates

June 20, 2010: We have two new affiliates, so please welcome the Sailor Moon Institute and Charming-Up.org. Sailor Moon Institute is a general Sailor Moon website that has media and also has character profiles. Please note that the URL is a .cjb.net link, so there will be ads if you visit. Secondly, please welcome the sister website for this website, Charming-Up.org.

This my newest website and a character tribute to another favorite character of mine, Hikari of Pokémon. I made the website for the PokéThon that was going on and I just enjoyed making the website. It is still being constructed in some areas just as this one as I work to make media for it.

June 7, 2010: I updated the facts page and also the weekly rotation page which the newest one focused on that page is about Android 18. I think all the friendly users on YouTube and those who constantly keep asking me about some information from the Cell Games need to check it out.

Please if you have me on YouTube, do not message me questions anymore. I cannot stress how easy it is to send me an e-mail for the weekly rotation as the correct e-mail. Many of the questions I have been asked lately I have not answered because people have not been sending me an e-mail at that address. (;

June 1, 2010: Dragonball Kai has been airing for over two weeks now in the United States and I haven't watched episode one of it yet. To be honest, I think I might just watch the uncut version and recommend that anyone under the age of 14 should watch the version on Nicktoons, as the edits will be more better for younger children. However, it is up to parents/guardians and the children to talk it out when viewing the show. I just noticed the official English website for Dragonball Kai from Funimation. How can they afford to have four different domains for each series (DB, DBZ, DBGT, and now DBKai) and I wonder if the GT domain has that many visitors? ^^' You can check out Gohan's new voice actor with some of the clips on that website but I do not know exactly what to think of this person yet (though the entire dialogue is closer to the Japanese version in audio). When I get the box set of this show, I will check the dialogues and see how close/different they are and hopefully the voice acting is good.Thankfully, Sonny Strait still has role for Krillin or I'd be slightly upset. Though, fans might be confused if they have not seen Dragonball since the DBKai is closer to the manga. (;

Anyways, I have some new media for you to check out! It was rather fun to make that and I want to give a shout to Usagi and congratulate her on new fanlisting. <3

May 24, 2010: Dragonball Kai will air tonight in a censored version on Nicktoons at 8:00 P.M. EDT (United States only). Please note that this is called Dragonball "Z" Kai and will not have any filler introduced like the regular Dragonball Z. Nicktoons will have censored version, which means scenes will be cut and certain mages edited (like Master Roshi holding a cup filled with beer). If you want to buy the uncut version and see this remastered version (see avatar for an example of improved animation/new designs) of the original classic, I recommend buying the uncut version which was released May 18, 2010 in the United States.

I think I might check out the episodes that will be premiring on Nicktoons, however I think I might go ahead and buy the newly released box set from Funimation. The episodes that will be airing tonight are equal to the DBZ episodes of Episode One and Episode Two. I also added a site "warning" above that I think is needed. The idea was inspired by Bura.

May 7, 2010: We have a new affiliate, so please welcome AnimeHorizon. Formerly known as K1Anime.com and a former affiliate of Eien-Melody.net's, it is nice to be affiliated with them again. ^^ Secondly, as a notice that my old e-mail for my fanlistings and website has changed. Please e-mail me at amber@kienzan.net for main things and for fanlisting related issues and other things, please e-mail me at kirari@kienzan.net.

Hope everyone has a Happy Mother's Day!

May 4, 2010: 4Kids has announced that the English version of Dragonball Kai will be airing on their children's show time. I guess Funimation and Toei Animation agreed to some of the weirdest things, because 4Kids used to air Pokémon before the release of Diamond and Pearl. 4Kids has a history of cutting a lot of things out whether it has been from Pokémon or the anime series Sonic X to be more child friendly, I cannot imagine what they may do with Dragonball Kai. For anyone who does not know, the Dragonball series has more violence and is set for an older auidence than shows like Sonic X with the themes, fighting, and overall storyline. If no one believes me, I think Yamcha getting a whole punched through his stomach in the Android Saga in good enough proof for the violence that comes with Akira Toriyama's work.

Sonic X had scenes cut and the dialogue changed up a lot. 4Kids cut out scenes like deaths and simply made it like they just disappeared (like Cosmo's death was changed very badly). I know they were planning on cutting/"fixing" some of the errors for Dragonball "Z" Kai in the English release for television, however, it could be possible that 4Kids edits the series more. I really recommend for English speaking fans to purchase/order the DVD releases if you are wanting to see Dragonball Kai uncut and in English. Now, I do not hold anything against 4Kids entirely besides some of their voice acting methods, so please do not think I am discouraging you in watching the newer animated series, just understand that the targetted viewing auidence between Japan and the United States (so far) will be greatly altered unless you want to buy the UNCUT version. Here is also the latest version of a new opening that I just love the animation with and Krillin looks awsome in it (as does Tien).
